'88 Ford Taurus, Brake Pumps??
Q:
I
have an 88 good running Ford Taurus. I had an all around brake job
done about 3 months ago, and I am continuing to go back as they do not
feel right. They still squeak, sometimes still mushy. I went back to find
out I needed a master cylinder! Well after looking my car up in their
files they found one had been put in. They said the wrong one was installed,
so they put in the correct master cylinder. What happens? They find my
Brake Pumps are clogged. Here is my question? How does one's brake pump
get clogged?? As many cars as I have owned this is new to me!.........Janice

New
one to you? I have not a clue what in tar`nation a brake pump is! Id
like you to go back there to find out and then let me know. Much of what
you state doesnt completely add up. Someone is clueless, has communication
problems or your vehicle is torturing some poor tech. You should ask for
an explanation of what a brake pump is. My hopes are that it was a misstatement
or failure of communication. If the story doesnt get any better
its time to find a new repair facility.
