92 Dodge Grand
Caravan, Fuel Pump Replacement Schedule
Q: Our ‘92 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L has
240K. Much has been serviced and it is running great. One thing I am wondering
about is the fuel pump. I am debating whether to replace it before it
actually quits or just keep driving it till it quits. My wife will be
making some long trips this summer and I am concerned it will leave her
and my kids stranded.....Roy
A: You’ve gotten
your monies worth from that fuel pump. With that many miles and your wife
depending on the vehicle, schedule the vehicle in for a new fuel pump
and filter. I have found that it is a rare case indeed when a vehicle
will break down when it is convenient. Summers are for fun not for headaches,
have the fuel pump replaced.
